“Success is dependent on effort.”

-Sophocles, Greek Dramatist
Reflection: I agree with what Sophocles has quoted. Without effort everything that you want to happen will slowly melt away into a big ball of FAILURE.  For instance if you put effort into studying for an upcoming test, all the hard work will pay off. You will finish off that test with an A or A+. It can be hard to put effort into something but if you try good enough you can succeed I life more than any other person could.

Part 2
Choose where to study

Where you should study depends on the two factors: the environment in which you are best able to concentrate and the types of work you are planning to do.
·      The best places to study have good light, a comfortable temperature and enough desk space-usually your dorm room, your apartment or the library.

·       For completing problems sets or brainstorming possible test questions, you may want to study with a group or at least in a setting where fellow students are available for discussion.

·       When you are reading book chapters or research paper, you are probably better off in a less social environment.
Improve your study habits
Here are simple steps you can take to help you get a handle on studying:
. Have a routine for where and when you study.

·       Choose reasonable and specific goals that you can accomplish for teach study session.

·       Do things that are harder and require more intense thought at your most productive time of the day.

·       Take breaks if you need them so you don’t waste time looking a material but not absorbing it.

·       Get to know students whom you respect and you can study with or contact to ask questions.

·       Keep up with the workload and seek help when you need it.

Jenna Huff wins the extreme “Sportsmanship” award from the U.S. Olympic Committee.
In this story Jenna Huff is a high school student that runs in her cross country team and she was able to run for her team in the race to the state champion. As Jenna was running she said that she always kept an eye out for her opponent Deb. Jenna was always just a little behind Deb, there was on three miles and when it was the last mile Jenna was thinking of just sprinting the last mile so she could lead her team to the state nationals. When Jenna was running she was looking at her opponent deb and saw her fall in front of her in the last 100 yards and when she did Jenna was right there to help her get up from her fall. When she did Jenna walked Deb to the finish line and let her finish first because Jenna said that Deb was always going to be in front of her even without the hip fall.

Reflection: The fact that Jenna gave up her spot to win is one of the very best acts of random kindness that I have ever heard of. what Jenna did there was a really good act of "Good Sportsmanship". Jenna knew that helping Deb finish was good sportsmanship and something very loyal to her. Even if Deb didn't win by herself she can still be a winner of Good Sportsmanship. Jenna’s act of helping deb was very inspiring and outstanding. Everyone should have good sportsmanship and be as kind as Jenna was when she helped Deb.

Part 1

Develop good study habits.

In college, you’ll need to build on the study skills that you learned in high school. The demands of a college class are probably more rigorous than those you are used to.

Yu can succeed by knowing what to expect in college and how to handle it. Think of college as a full time job, in which you spend 40 hours a week on class, labs, study groups and doing homework.

Be organized and using your time well are essential. Learn more about time management, and use the guidelines below to develop your study skills.

Decide when to study

Work out about how many hours you need to study every day. Then make a schedule.

·        Figure out what blocks of time you have available through-out the day, in the evenings and on weekends.

·       Consider what time of day you are most alert – there are mornings people and night owls – and try to schedule you’re studying accordingly.

·        Think about whether you do better studying for a few hours at a time or sitting down for a marathon session.

“Choosing the right is always the right thing to do.”
Alex Linares
Reflection:  I agree with what Alex Linares is saying in this quote.  There is no doubt that choosing the right is good. You can’t choose the wrong and feel happy like when you choose the right. Sometimes choosing the right can be difficult and can hurt others but if you what’s right you will be rewarded in the end. Even sometimes doing something wrong can seem easier and fun but your bad decisions always catch up with you even when you think you got away with something. Karma is always waiting around the corner to give you what you deserve. But you can always avoid trouble just by simply choosing the right.

“It is better to be alone than to be in bad company.”

ANON
Reflection: What Anon is trying to say is that it would be better to be by yourself that to be around bad people that make you feel like a lower person. being around bad people can cause me to have bad negative consequences that I wouldn't like in my life. Just because you are alone doesn't really mean that you are a Loner but that you would rather listen to your thoughts than to listen to those that MAKE you FEEL alone. For me being by myself would be better than to be around a group that makes me feel alone or unwanted.
